To save embarrassment to some of the officers who feature in this collection of happenings, I have (in most instances) spared their feelings by not listing them by name. This manuscript is a revised and abridged edition of a previous issue of the same title, along with one of my early publications, 'The Thin Wobbly Blue Line.' In these chapters, I have recounted a range of incidents experienced by me while stationed in the Central Desert Outback of Western Australia. Several chapters cover the subject of Australian Aboriginal culture and practices. The reader can learn what it is really like in the Australian Outback when tribal pay-back punishment is administered. Also one can read of the self-harm the tribal Aboriginal woman inflicts upon herself when mourning a loved one. Read of the superstitions and practices surrounding a tribal witch doctor and the pointing of the bone. I also touched on my adventures while serving as a United Nations civilian police peacekeeper in Cyprus during the Greek/Turkish conflict, and in Papua New Guinea amidst the PNG/Bougainville Revolutionary Army hostilities.
