Description
BBC Audiobooks America and Arkangel Productions present a fully-dramatized production of William Shakespeare's epic tragedy King Lear, based on the legend the pre-Roman king, Leir of Britain. Retiring King Lear divides his kingdom up amongst his three daughters, basing the division on how much he believes each daughter loves him. When one daughter speaks with unbridled honesty and the King disinherits her, a complex plot, replete with unimaginable tragic circumstances, unfolds.
